My Sleepy Valentine

My Sleepy Valentine is producing remarkably talented and well-minded offspring that are currently winning futurities and titles in both Canada and the United States. He was the Northwest Congress Masters Champion, and sire of winners, as well as point-earning performers in Western Pleasure, Trail, Lunge Line, and Western Riding.

When you take a close look at the bloodlines of this exceptional stallion, it becomes clear why he stands out in the show ring. His lineage traces back to horses destined for greatness, all connected to the trainers and owners who shaped them. He is sired by My Vital Valentine—a legacy of talent and heart. Beyond his impressive show record, his greatest asset was his spirit; he was a genuinely talented horse with an unmatched desire to please. He possessed a unique combination of being both a physical athlete and soft, supple in his movements. He began his show career as a pleasure horse, winning the Limited Three-Year-Old class at the NSBA World Show with trainer Scott Weiss riding. From his very first ride as an all-around horse, everything came easily to him.

His dam, Im Behind In Sleep, was an exceptionally beautiful black mare standing at approximately 15.2 hands, with an undeniable presence in the show pen. The bottom side grandam, named Form The Line Behind and affectionately known as Tootsie, was more than just a broodmare; she was a cornerstone of breeding whose influence shaped many future great horses.

The grandam of My Sleepy Valentine is one of the most famous show horses in the world, Vital Signs Are Good, affectionately known as Lucy. During her remarkable show career, Lucy won 13 AQHA world championships, eight reserve world championships, and accumulated 3,097.5 AQHA points with earnings of $288,581. Her offspring have earned over 3,500 AQHA points and nearly $500,000 to date.

The legendary sires behind My Sleepy Valentine contribute to his status as a champion. RL Best Of Sudden, on the top side of My Sleepy Valentine’s pedigree, is iconic, with his offspring earning over $5.2 million and 142,970 AQHA points, making him the all-time leading sire in AQHA and NSBA Western All-Around events. On the bottom side, Too Sleepy To Zip was crowned Congress Champion and an AQHA World Champion in multiple disciplines, and his progeny have earned millions and over 50,000 AQHA points.

Recently acquired in 2025, My Sleepy Valentine made his exciting transition from Canada to the United States under the care of his new owners, Riverside Ranch. This move marks the next chapter in his journey, and Riverside Ranch is eager to see what the future holds for this extraordinary stallion! My Sleepy Valentine is five-panel N/N, OLWS Negative, and enrolled in Premier Sires.
